Too much of anything but love is bad
When I draw up the timeline,
Of the existence of the universe and stars,
It seems we have exhausted,
All the time we had,
Yet days seem longer than years,
When I do not hear your soothing voice,
Whispering tales of our forgotten past in my ears.
In a world that celebrates profoundness,
You took to my hidden silliness,
Gave me the comfort of a place,
Just like home with an open space.
I looked into your eyes and found,
A thousand different thoughts running in your mind,
You looked back into mine,
With a haze full of passion unbound.
We take caution,
In revealing our greatest strengths,
Fearing the unfathomable that,
Someone somewhere is always on the run,
To steal the priceless while pointing a gun.
I would be a fool,
If I did not share your feelings,
I would be damned,
If I did not give in to Cupid’s telling.
To tread the same path,
To breathe the same air,
Are some of life’s precious gifts,
I am grateful as a free human,
You saw me drown and pulled me out,
Left me breathless with your selfless stature.
Our strengths welcome happiness,
But our sadness embraces the weakness,
A sound mind is a lot to ask,
Gently we can shake even a disillusioned heart.
To reproduce another human’s art,
And identify ourselves with it, is realization of the self,
To understand ourselves,
And own it, is the realization of the truth.
I seek for nothing in the world,
No wealth no spouse no society,
But the truth that shows my reflection,
In the eyes of someone who accepts me for eternity.
Until next time, Readers ❤
