My experiments with food

How great are first times?

With nothing significant happening in my life at the moment, I decided to try my hands at something new.

I have always kept myself far away from the kitchen because I cannot even flip a sandwich without spilling over its fillings. My cooking skills are as bad as my aptitude skills (thank God I managed to graduate without any arrears). So one evening when I decided to make a snack, I questioned my abilities many times. Even though the temptation to give up was more than the excitement to create something edible, I decided against being held by my own mind. Once I skimmed through the endless number of videos on YouTube trying to make sense of the names of the spices and peppers which I cannot even remember now, the magic happened!

It took me an hour and half, two litres of my sweat and occasional help from my mother (because she is the best) to assemble the result of my efforts. To everyone’s surprise, it turned out in normal shape without burnt or being too salty. I am personally satisfied, not because it tasted heavenly (which it did) but because I could pull off something that I have always felt was tough to do. I guess life is all about taking the risks no matter how tempting it may feel to just scooch back into our comfortable beds. No matter what people tell you to do, you do you and do it good.

Attaching this unfiltered photo for you to appreciate the culinary skills I have developed over night (also as a proof that I actually made it).

Until next time, Readers ❤
