I think we all long to write that perfect note

For someone to read it when they are at their worst,

And it not only helps them get through the tough times,

But also reminds them of us during the most mundane hours of the day.

A smile on their face when they are making coffee while it pours down outside,

Knowing what coldness and warmth feels like at the same time,

Looking at the sky or while simply lying on the bed,

Getting reminded of their beautiful flaws and admirable strengths,

It must make someone happy to know that,

They are worthy of the joy they might not have felt freely in a long time.

That is why we keep little notes,

To mark their presence,

To feel their essence,

And most importantly, to be extremely lucky if we are able to see them seasons after seasons.

You don’t love someone because they accept you,

You do so because they accept you despite being yourself.

When the fever of love at first sight or even new love wears off,

It takes strength to tolerate the misunderstandings and arguments,

To stand by that person with the same warmth and even more love in your heart than before.

As with time wine gets better, so does the company of your partner.

You both might be alike or may share your likeness towards different things,

But it always takes two stubborn people who hate to give up on each other to make it work.

And I hope that with this stubbornness may you find yourself someone who can be your home.

Until next time, Readers❤️
