Idea of perfection

Why do we have to find someone better for ourselves,

When we can make ourselves better for one another instead?

The idea of letting go of a beautiful thing is so difficult,

Like the presence of words to soothe the pain of a deaf.

It is mind numbing to pinpoint a particular reason to distance oneself from another sinless human,

There are hundreds of rights that should be considered for a few disheartening wrongs before we give up on finding a solution.

We ruin ourselves in the process of a habitual look out for a new limitless to grip,

While putting boundaries to define the subtlety of an instinctual relationship.

Do things go wrong because of the circumstances or,

Because of our inherent inability to respond to it rightly?

If only there were as many chances to turn things around in some way,

Will we try to change it for good or hold down the caterpillar before it could fly?

The wishes of a man who is longing for his beloved is so endearing,

The sweet hymns his beloved sings can put even the distressed into a trance,

It is impossible for things to go wrong,

If nobody is aware of the right one.

Inquisitively introspecting the qualities of someone we admire more than ourselves,

While defending their weaknesses with unflinching nerves of confidence,

One must be a fool to not empathize with what constitutes as the idea of perfection,

They must be damned since they are handicapped to fancy a lover’s affection.

Until next time, Readers💛
