False memories

It is the absence of a companion

Or the dire wish of a romantic presence,

That has left behind a trail of thousand rooms

Each filled up with memories that has never existed.

They say we live twice, once in our mind and again by practicing it,

But there are different ways to cope up with degenerating ailments,

And what better way to do that than to fool our own self?

There are numerous things which is out of our reach,

For there are infinite factors governing our lives apart from our principles and conscience,

If we cannot change a circumstance and not let it change us,

We can comfortably create a different reality inside our mind,

Because that’s the only place which can guarantee peace.

I have no experience of walking around tall archaic abandoned monuments,

Late at night, all alone, only to be surrounded by creepers and a faint unknown voice,

But I experience that memory in my flesh and bones,

Every time there is a strange knock in the middle of the night on the doors of my mind palace.

To experience things is to live through them,

To thrive in the beauty of scarcity and make plenty out of it,

But when we are deprived of the things that makes a man realise his full potential,

We fill the space with false memories.

Until next time, Readers ❤
