Contradictions
When you defile a notion,
Stand against your own sane mind,
Think of alternate realities,
Yet are passionate to hold on to the last ray of sunshine,
You risk losing a lot.
They told us to follow our hearts,
Trust our instincts,
To not second guess every decision,
And let go of things even if they are not at some level of precision,
Because authenticity is a lost cause.
As we grow old the choices seem to shrink,
The hearts do not take time to think,
Emotions are intertwined in a whirlpool sink,
While garbage chokes our oceans, we hold a plastic cup full of drink.
Times have changed,
Faces are replaced,
Forests are lost,
Hypocrisy has cost us a lot.
You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to,
Situation forces us to be in places we did not intend to,
Do this do that do everything and beyond what you are capable of,
But conform to the boundaries as that is enough.
The irony of the world is that we have everything,
But nothing in a proper order,
Life is not a to-do list we can tick off one item at a time,
Instead of prayers, science and moral education lessons should be turned into hymns.
It’s okay to be a little lost,
Be a wild flower in a world full of stupid ghosts,
Nobody can live the horrors of your pain,
Only you can feel your happiness and the bags full of gain.
Until next time, Readers ❤
