Of course you were drawn to me,

My hands always found a way around your neck,

Finding solace and warmth there as well,

My shy, timid eyes that are always on a lookout for an escape,

Found themselves perched upon your stubborn, innocent gaze.

We discovered each other on drives that seemed to last only five minutes,

Where the sound of our collective heartbeats, anxious breaths and fidgeting toes filled the space,

During the occasional look, at the eyes, at the lips, at the very emotion of our presence together,

We found ourselves by confiding in each other of the tears that was holding us back.

Of course the world is a better place with you in it,

It’s you who cares for others with unbound devotion,

Having sincerity in your beliefs, a man,

Who knows what he wants and pursues it endlessly,

Who roars and fights a thousand wars when his ideals are attacked to win that single battle,

Of course I saw you.

Of course I was drawn to you,

That smile which slowly emerges and engulfs entire souls within it,

Those tanned arms that find peace along my waist,

Those soft breaths we feel when we are so close yet so far from that one tiny moment,

That made us believe in forever.

Until next time, Readers ❤
